in this country since 9/11. and former top advisor to president obama, david axelrod, about how the white house is handling this situation. >>> but we begin in boston where the back bay has been transformed into a crime scene sealed off for blocks and law enforcement try to determine who was behind monday's deadly attack at the boston marathon. of course this all began at about ten minutes to 3:00 on monday. about four hours into the race when an explosion went off just yards from the finish line. then about 15 seconds later a second explosion about 500 feet down the road. at least three people were killed in the blasts, one of them was 8-year-old martin richard whose father was in the race. his mother and sister suffered serious injuries. at least 126 people are still hospitalized. ten of them possibly as many as 17 in critical condition following the attack. >> there was cloud everywhere and, yeah, it was loud. it was really, really loud and then people just chaos everywhere. >> there was just families all around us with kids yelling and screaming and -- i mean we just wanted to try and get a
